  1. I’m skeptical
I don’t know about this… it’s been heavily advertised lately, but the commercials give me the vague impression of a combination of Dead Like Me and Ghostbusters. And not in a good way…

Actually, to me, it’s a lighter remake of Brimstone, a show I was very skeptical of them matching. While no one can replace John Glover as the Devil, I ended up rather liking this one’s quirks. And I think they’ll have a lot of fun with the "vessel of the week" if "Dirt Devil" is any indication. So, unfortunately(*), it reeled me in.

(*) having just spent $400 on a new projector bulb after only 10 months, I’m clearly watching too much already!

  2. I enjoyed it.
Saw it recently, and enjoyed it. Ray Wise (notably from Twin Peaks) plays a great devil, and it manages to be both serious and funny when needed.

Of the pilots I saw, Pushing Daisies was fantastic (and probably won’t be the hit it deserves to be – so go make sure your friends watch it), Reaper was enjoyable, and Chuck was decent (one of the best things about Chuck, to be honest, is their hiring of Adam Baldwin to play Jayne the FBI agent – *bang* "Stop or I’ll shoot!" :)

  3. I missed it on Tuesday
Forgot to set my Tivo for it until too late. I caught it last night though.

I loved it! It was naturally funny, and didn’t feel forced at all like a lot of shows on the pilot. Everything was really well polished, and I agree with the comment about it being like a lighter version of Brimstone. I really got a huge kick out of the devil in this one. It was like he had a thin layer of funny over a core of menacing. A very well developed character right off the bat. Everyone was great, I am definitely looking forward to this one next week.
