Ok, the girl is hot, that dude from Firefly is… basically the same dude from Firefly, the car radio tick is lame, and this episode is actually much funnier than the last one.

Somehow I have the feeling that the writers did main characters right, but everything else (that company car that Chuck crashes every time, that too cliche bad guy with sooooo long evil speak, that lame helicopter landing) simply doesn’t click.

Yeah, there’s plenty of cheese to go around, but that’s part of the show’s point. Agreed, it was funnier than last week, which pleases me.

I have to disagree with you on Adam Baldwin. I keep trying to see Jayne come through in his performance, but he seems to be doing a good job of reminding me that this isn’t Jayne, and I need to drop my preconceptions. There are similarities between the characters, of course, but that’s more to do with the nature of the characters, and not necessarily the acting.

To be fair, Jayne was very precisely Animal Mother… in SPACE!

        And we loved it :)

  2. Oceanic Flight 815
Did anyone else hear Chuck mention Oceanic Flight 815 during his "test" by the traitorous doctor? I didn’t catch what was said after the flight number, but I sure caught the flight number.

"Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down by <word starting with S or C>."

It was definitely a nice touch, especially considering Lost is on another network.

It was "Oceanic Flight 815 was shot down by a surface-to-air […]."

At least that’s what the closed captions read.

It switched to another image before he could say what exactly the surface-to-air weapon was, just like the other phrases cut off right before they got to the good part.

Could be missle, death ray, magnet, button pusher, who knows. :)
