Vote for your OWN Ultimate Top 10 Sci-Fi Movies

hoggoth writes, Following up to a previous story asking readers to post their favorite Sci-Fi movies, I have put together THIS SITE to let everyone vote for their favorite Sci-Fi movies. Blockbuster, Amazon, and the major studios don’t care how the vote comes out, but it still may be fun to see what everyone considers the BEST Sci-Fi films. You can also try this link to see more than just the top ten.

  1. Now that’s more like it!
    I just went and voted.

I also noted that most of my favorites are in the top ten as well (and mostly in the order that I voted for them). :)

  2. Good
    idea
    But

Is there some way of knowing How many people have voted in total? I see that 33 people have voted for the Matrix, meaning at least 34 people have voted (The Matrix was not in my top ten, sad to say)

Also are you going to continue this to Books and TV shows?
Not right away of course, but it is an idea!

perhaps a fave Cave in STE poll?

    The Lord Of the Beer

      The Lord Of the Beer

Definitely. “Starship Troopers” would never make it on to my top 10 movies list, but it just might make it into my top 10 books.

“Starship Troopers” would never make it on to my top 10 movies list, but it just might make it into my top 10 books.

I do not know if str ship torropers would make it (not that it is a bad book but….

Do Androids dream of Electric sheep Would definatly make it. Hitchhickers would make it. “The Shockwave Rider” would make it. Dune would make it. The Forever war would make it. The Legacy of Heorot would make it. Enders Game would make it. The Forge of God would make it. When the Sleeper wakes would make it.

Yup Starship troopers would make the list

Its an interesting statement on the times, though, that on the book list Starship Troopers is much nearer the top that The Forever War, given that among other things “The Forever War” is an anti-war parody of “Starship Troopers!” I remember Joe Haledeman mentioning this at a convention many years ago and after I reread both books I had to agree, there are many parelells (by parody I don’t necessarily think he meant funny).

Yes. The TV series article is on the
      way.

  3. Cheater!
Saas, you are such a cheater!
You voted for the Matrix for all 10 of your top ten.
I enjoyed the Matrix, but ‘Bill & Tedd take Kung Fu’ didn’t even make my list of Top 10 Sci-Fi Movies Of All Time.

I have fixed the loophole that allows you to vote for the same movie more than once! :-)
