    High Point:

"Molly" gives a strong performance for someone so young.

    Low Point:

    /online nerd rant mode:

Doesn’t anyone see Claire and her boyfriend flying in broad daylight? Or at night, against the lit Hollywood sign? This show depends upon the contrast of its fantastic elements with a quasi-realistic setting. I can accept the superpowers, but implausible elements not related to the powers (or to the show’s Kevin Bacon effect, which is I guess also a part of the premise) take me out of its reality.

(I had the same reaction to Parkman landing undamaged after crashing through a skyscraper window last season).

It’s Hollywood. Anyone who saw would probably figure they were on a wire, shooting a film. :-)

My high point – Monica‘s apparent power. I don’t think I’ve seen one like that before. As a dedicated autodidact I’d love to be able to do that!

          Taskmaster

Taskmaster is exactly who I thought of, the second she made the tomatoe-rose. I felt like such a geek, explaining that she had photographic reflexes to my wife.

          Taskmaster

Shoot, I was hoping the link was to a product that would give me that power. Some sort of "Build Your Photographic Reflexes In Just Minutes A Day!" program. :-)

Anyway, fair enough. My comic geekdom (small as it is) stays mostly in the DC universe. so Taskmaster is (was) a stranger to me.

In the online comic issue that introduced West (I had to look up his name), he comments on how the vast majority of people never look up. They’re too focused on their own little meaningless lives to notice a boy flying around above them.
