Fifth and Tenth Doctors to Meet

David Tennant and Peter Davison’s versions of Doctor Who shall meet on Friday, November 16– on a Children in Need Special, and not in the series. These BBC charity specials have a history of running Doctor Who programs of uncertain canonicity.

The fifth season of the show’s current incarnation will start in 2010, but likely will not feature Tennant.

That would be the same special where the titanic crashes through the tardis?

As I understand it, that’s the Christmas special, which is generally considered to be canon. The Children in Need special is different.

Right. The Children in Need charity specials have often featured oddball Doctor Who entires, such as the Doctor Who/Eastenders Crossover "Dimensions in Time," a seven-minute episode that took depicted events that occurred between regular 2005 episodes, a 1999 parody with Rowan Atkinson and Hugh Grant….

The Curse of Fatal Death was from Comic Relief, not Children in Need.

          • That’s a relief

Actually, he was neither, because that is not how Peter Davison spells his name….
