Anywho, Amazon.com was the lucky one, scoring the handwritten copy (the only one available to the public) for £1,950,000. They have pictures and a review of the first story (The Wizard and the Hopping Pot) here. The proceeds went to charity, The Children’s Voice campaign

JK Rowling wrote a special book of fairy tales, hand-making only a few copies. The book is supposedly the same one mentioned in the last Harry Potter book.
She gave some copies to family & friends, and is auctioning the rest for charity. Given the extreme rarity combined with general HP hysteria, it’s not surprising that it went for a ridiculous price.
