Thanks kindly!

mrsleny :) Those Bureau authors who are watching aren’t watching on the native network, and are a few weeks behind. Here’s a discussion forum for those who’ve already watched it. Don’t read on unless you want spoilers.

  1. Very Good Episode
The episode was very good. The death of Tashiko was shocking and done really well.

  2. Underwhelming
On the contrary, I was underwhelmed by it. I felt the plot was forced in too many places, and I can’t believe you’d stay sane being buried for hundreds of years.

I did like the previous episode that explained how they all came to be at Torchwood, though I have to wonder if that bright red shirt was deliberate. It was instantly obvious that she couldn’t survive, since she wasn’t in the present.

I never thought he was sane.

  3. loved it
the burried for hundreds of years wouldn’t bother Jack since in a situation where re-death is instantly inevitable the body/mind would remain dormant. He wouldn’t have had any experience ’til the old torchwood folks dug him up.

Now that’s the part that’s a real problem, digging a hole that deep with one man one shovel seems impossible.

It’s not. Take my word for it. Please. (:

  4. Shocking season finale
I both loved it and hated it. The storyline with Jack and Gray was weak and the actor playing Gray reminded me of Hayden Christensen in Star Wars.

The scenes between Toshiko and Owen near the end were the most moving and heartbreaking I’ve ever seen. Tosh was my favourite and I was quite peeved they killed her off just as they seemed to be building up her character .

There’s been a lot of speculation on the web about who will join Torchwood next season (if there will indeed be one) … Martha Jones or Micky Smith or both.

Overall the second season was good. I am looking forward to Dr Who and hopefully Sarah Jane Adventures.

Sarah Jane is good, but you do have to realize it’s aimed at kids. Aside from the plots, one aspect of that is although the season is 10 "episodes", it’s really 5 episodes where each one is split into two 1/2hr pieces. I don’t know if they’ll glue them back together when it airs here in the US, but I’m guessing not. I recommend saving them up and watching the pairs together as one episode.

Oops, I probably should have said I’m looking forward to the "second" series of Sarah Jane. I’ve already seen the first and know it’s aimed at a younger crowd. It’s entertaining for a big kid at heart like me. I’m still reading the John Bellairs/Brad Strickland books (gothic/supernatural fiction children’s books).
