Adam Beach, who voiced Turok in the recent animated movie, hopes to play the character in a live action film.
The project has potential, and Beach sounds more interested in the original, pre-videogame version of Turok.
Beach has appeared in Law and Order: Special Victims Unit and a number of films, including Flags of Our Fathers, Windtalkers, Smoke Signals, and Dance Me Outside.

I think by now people who liked the games have lost interest. People who read the comics, like me, are too old to care.
$10 will get you $20 that Uwe Boll volunteers to direct.
Re: Maybe 10 years ago.
Granted– but where was Iron Man with reference to the non-comic-reading mainstream, only a few months ago? A good movie can change everything, and the concept, if done well, would sell to the summer movie audience.
Re: Maybe 10 years ago.
Probably a hell of a lot better known than Turok. A kid couldn’t help but see Iron Man in a cameo on any Marvel cartoon in the 80s – if not in his own series in the mid-90s.
The character’s just a lot more interesting and instantly recognizable, nevermind way more comics published about him and crossover stories beyond mention.
Re: Maybe 10 years ago.
True, but he’s still not a Spider-man or a Batman, and yet the film has scored a huge hit. Many of my work colleagues had no idea who Iron Man was a month ago. Now they do, even if they haven’t seen the movie.
Turok doesn’t have nearly the same level of fame, as you say, but a good script and strong dino effects could still create a fan base for the character. Turok also shares one of Stark’s advantages: because he is less well-known than certain other comic-book heroes, the general audience arrives with fewer expectations, and the filmmakers have greater freedom.
None of this guarantees success. If made, the film could be a Lundgren Punisher. But I think it has potential.

Or Afflek Daredevil. If this ever comes out I see it getting labeled as a cheap Jurasic Park rip-off. Also the last game was pretty horrible.
