66th World Science Fiction Convention

Denvention 3, starts tomorrow in Denver Colorado. Sure the cool kids went to San Diego to shill their latest movie and tv projects, but this remains the big SF Con, with thought-provoking panels, great parties, the Hugo Awards, and an unbelievable masquerade.

Guest of Honor this year is Lois McMaster Bujold, and many of SF’s luminaries will be present, along with some lesser-known fans and folk.

I’ll be around from Thursday until the end, and will be sitting on two panels Saturday: “Social Control Technology” at 10:00 am and “Mars through the SF Ages” at 5:30 pm.

I hope someone will step out of the Bureau drawer and say hi.

If not, plan for Montreal next year, with Neil Gaiman as the Guest of Honour.
