Re: LOTR
Is anyone besides me a little shocked by this? I don’t know about anyone else, but LOTR fell pretty far short of my expectations. I mean it was good and all, and I can deal with the fact that it had like no closure, but it also left a feeling of mediocrity, like just another movie that I saw, nothing incredibly spectacular.
On the other hand, I was happy to see my favourite movie of the year, Moulin Rouge on the board in many places. I won’t go on about it, but if you haven’t seen it, I suggest you do (this coming from a nerdy guy.). I sure hope LOTR leaves some of the bigger categories open for some of the much more worthy movies on the list.
LOTR song?
why did they get nominated for “Music (song)”? score i can understand… was there a song (to me means something sung) in the movie?
Re: LOTR song?
It was played over the closing credits, as nominations in this category often are. Personally, I wouldn’t nominate or vote for a song that wasn’t written for the movie and integrated into the picture and it’s plotline, but I’m not on the Oscar committee.
Re: LOTR song?
Odds Are I’m Going To Look Like A Moron Here, But I Thought The Song That was Nominated Was The One From Enigma (Or Was It Enya?) That They Played During The Scene Where Arwen And Strider Are Talking In Rivendale.
Re: LOTR song?
I thought that bit was Howard Shore,
and both of Enya’s were in the credits. I could be
wrong, though.
