I’m not sure if it’s too late to save it yet, but I’ve certainly given up on it. I stopped watching after the second-last episode where Peter loses his powers because he got a hug from dear old Dad.
Here’s my issues: 1) Hiro’s character had regressed back to Season 1 standings, then completely went off character for no real reason other than it fit the writer’s whims. 2) Peter and Sylar are so powerful that the writers seem to consistently find ways to strip them of their powers "temporarily" in order to make other story events work. 3) Season 3 has regressed to having the same plotline(s) as the previous 2 seasons. 4) Remember "Save the cheerleader, save the world"? Oh yeah, that doesn’t matter anymore. 5) The writer’s listened to the criticisms of last season (it was slow and plodding), and ramped up the action and story to the point where it’s getting to be too much.
I just find myself not caring about the show anymore. Is it fixable? Certainly. Is it fixable by this staff of writers? I have my doubts.

Their first season was great but it looks like the writers only had one season in mind and basically just rehashed the same theme over and over again.
There’s so much they could do with the premise yet they keep falling back to lame time travel anomalies to explain everything. I gave up after the first episode this season.
Battlestar Galactica is the only thing worth watching these days :/
