Wired, treading on what is clearly Bureau42’s territory, has released their picks for the top 20 Sci-Fi films of all time.
I personally didn’t like Blade Runner enough to rank it as number one, but it is their magazine. I would, however, like the name of the crack-smoking gibbon that placed Barbarella on the list!

There is no legitimate reason for Barbarella to
be on that list. I’d drop Robocop, too. I’d
bore you with my picks, but I’ve done that already.
If you asked me again today, I’d probably give a very
similar list. (If you ask me for a top ten, those entries
will probably be the same as they would be then, although
the order I rank them would depend on my mood at the
time.)
