Anime Vice has an interview with Eric Searleman, senior editor of their new original content program. Basically, Viz is getting back into publishing OEL (Original English Language) Manga again, and they’re accepting open submissions. So, if you’re looking to getting into comics and you’re willing to work in the somewhat smaller layout of manga, this might be a way to get your first work out there (aside from going with web comics). If you can’t draw, that’s okay – they’re willing to accept writer only submissions as well. I don’t know if they’re looking for individual artists at the moment.
