It’s the first week after Christmas. Whether you celebrate the holiday or not, you’ve got to recognize that virtually anything would have sold better had it been released a couple of weeks back than if it’s released now. There are a couple of odds and ends worth checking out between now and Valentine’s Day, but not a lot.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex and Blaine agree: there’s nothing notable enough for a strong recommendation this week. This is generally true for half of January.
If you are generally a CLAMP fan you gotta grab Tsubasa… Good artwork and a decent storyline. Don’t jump in on this season though… watch the first before grabbing this one.
Agreed – as a general rule of thumb, I never have a second season of an anime as my Pick of the Week unless it’s something that you can reasonably jump at – or if it’s something with the public visibility of (say) nBSG
