Weekly Digital Disc Picks – February 2, 2010

We told you things would pick up in February.

First, the DVD picks:

Now, the Blu-Ray picks:

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “As much as I loved Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, I cannot in good consense reccomend the Blu-Ray release, as it lacks the Criterion Collection special features – or any other special features for that matter. Not even the commentary with Terry Gilliam. So, I’m going to make my pick be the Hellboy Blu-Ray collection. I’ve seen both Hellboy Animated films, and I was very impressed by them.” Blaine says, “I haven’t seen the Doctor Who specials yet, though I have preordered the Blu-Ray box. Of those I have seen, Casablanca, The Music Man and L.A. Confidential are all must-see titles from their respective genres.”

    • A second vote for Zombieland. I didn’t have very high expectations going into it but was pleasantly surprised that it was pretty good.

I may pick up Planet Hulk, Marvel animated has been decent lately, even if the Hulk Vs. movies were horribly overpriced.
