Here’s the latest and greatest…now with kung-fu embed action!
The Chronicles of Narnia: Voyage of the Dawn Treader
I’ll admit to being pretty disappointed with Prince Caspian, but this looks awesome (and I hear from C.S. Lewis fans that this is the best book in the series).
Game of Thrones (HBO)
Oh yes…winter IS coming. Now to get my HBO subscription lined up.
Futurama (Comedy Central)
Good news, everyone!

The Green Hornet
Seth Rogan as a hero? Well, you might buy it after the trailer. Pretty slick and has that Iron Man-esque comedy element to it. Just a little humor, not over-the-top. We shall wait and judge later.

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’hoole
I saw the trailer online and thought it looked cool. Saw it on the big screen and just marveled at the level of detail and artistry that went into it. From the team that did Happy Feet, which I thought was beautifully animated but painfully preachy.

Resident Evil: Afterlife
I don’t play the games and I think I saw only the first one. But I guess it doesn’t take a lot of background info to appreciate hot girls kicking zombie ass.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World
This may well be the weirdest or coolest film of the year.

The Smurfs
God no. Please…God…no. What have we done for you to forsake us so?

What kind of musical choices did they make for “The Smurfs?” The Smurfs theme and Wild Thing just do not mix…
I’m reminded of a fan film I saw, maybe, twenty years ago. They recreated the bit from Wrath of Khan where Khan says “Let me introduce you to Ceti Alpha V’s last surviving indigenous life-form,” but he opened the lid of a box and we heard the Smurf theme.
The horror! The horror!
I can’t take the Guardians movie seriously, brings back strong memories of the turd that was Valiant from 2005.
Am looking forward to seeing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Resident Evil: Afterlife and The Green Hornet – the trailer sold me on the latter.
The Green Hornet Trailer went 403’d.
The Green Hornet trailer can also be seen at http://blog.newsarama.com/2010/06/22/could-it-be-true-the-green-hornet-trailer-is-online/.
Found another version on YouTube. The video works…for now.
I firmly believe that for various reasons The Smurf’s movie will be pushed back to Dec. 21, 2012.
Just a hunch I have.
