2:22 DVD Blu-Ray
The Long Good Friday Blu-Ray
Blaine: Reviews indicate that this is not a great transfer, and people are blaming the distributor (Image Entertainment.) Image owns Criterion, and in my experience, they do the best they can with the available print quality. This was not produced by a major studio, and it’s entirely possible that there aren’t any originals left that are preserved enough to make a good transfer.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m going with the Blu-Ray release of The Long Good Friday which is definitely one of the best overall gangster films of all time. However, Tytania and ELO Live are going in my Netflix Queue.” Blaine says, “I haven’t seen a single title on this list. However, this release of Lost is the first in a multiweek onslaught of TV-on-DVD product, so if nothing grabs you this week, save up and you’ll have stacks to pick from between now and Christmas.”

  1. Got the LOST box set in the mail today and it’s impressive in almost every way. Lots of little details and hidden things (even a hidden disc in the lid of the set).

The only problem is the thing is so frelling huge I have no idea where it’s going to go.

I understand the writers said the same thing about LOST’s plot.
