Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl Amazon.com, rightstuf.com Amazon.com, rightstuf.com
Alex: Basically, as the title says, this film is about a clash between a Vampire high school student and a High School student who is a girl put togeather by the parts of corpses. This is from the director of the film “Tokyo Gore Police”, so it’s got a lot of violence to it, though I don’t know where it falls on the realism/over-the-top scale.
Music / Musical
Moulin Rouge! Blu-Ray
Video Games Live: Level 2 DVD Blu-Ray
Alex: I had the opportunity to attend a Video Games Live concert, and I’m quite impressed by their work. As the title suggests, this is their second concert DVD. The first one is OOP and is difficult to get ahold of.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I haven’t seen this specific concert, but I have seen VGL when they last came to Portland and had a blast, so Video Games Live Level 2 is my pick of the week for this week.” Blaine says, “it’s a very close race between Seven Samurai and the new edition of Psycho.”

  1. +1 for Shaun The Sheep, it’s a hilarious series that both children and adults enjoy :) I will say, though, that after two years of them selling individual discs for a few episodes per disc that I feel a little.. fleeced.. (cough).

  2. This is from the director of the film “Tokyo Gore Police”, so it’s got a lot of violence to it, though I don’t know where it falls on the realism/over-the-top scale.

I haven’t seen Vampire Girl vs Frankenstein Girl, but the posters look great, and the stills and promo material suggest its violence is fairly over the top/unrealistic.
