Alex: This is basically another ECW-reunion-style show, with an ECW kind of crowd, but in Florida instead of in Philly. On a barely Genre note, we did get Balls Mahoney (now going as Kahoney because WWE trademarked “Balls Mahoney”) getting in a “lightsaber duel” (with the good lightsabers too, not the Toys ‘R Us crap) with Brother Ray (formerly Bubba Ray Dudley) while the audience chanted “Use The Force (clap clap clapclapclap).” While that’s not actually genre, it’s a better fit for the Sci-Fi channel then anything WWE did with ECW.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “although I haven’t seen it yet, based on Brian’s review and the existing track record, I’m comfortable recommending Toy Story 3 this week.” Alex says, “If you have a Blu-Ray Player, you might as well get Highlander… and if we get an Rifftrax release for Highlander II, then that might be worth renting. Also, I might netflix Silver Nemesis.”

  1. Just a minor typo — the header for the suspense section is spelled “Suspence”. At first I thought this might be an alternate spelling, but dictionary.com says it isn’t valid.

    • Ah. It’s in my browser’s dictionary, which didn’t flag it. I googled it up, and it seems the spelling is “obsolete.” (I use Firefox with the UK dictionary.)
