  1. Good laughs.

Many good laughs were to be had this week.

    I’m insane. What’s his excuse?

    Look, she’s posable!

This weeks was good, but I don’t think it’s top 10 worthy. It just lacked that emotional response that the best episodes have. I think last weeks was better except for the lame monster, this demon was considerably better. But I think the gentlemen from “Hush” are better deamons.

I’m still itching to see what this years big bad is going to be. Last years geeks worked very well from a where do you go after killing a god point of view. I don’t think any of buffy’s main monsters can really be considered scary evil lately, glory was funny and tough but not scary, adam wasn’t overly evil, the mayor was funny, Angel wasn’t scary. The master was too early into the show to be very effective. A good horrifying evil to fight this year would be nice.

        SNIP

OK, I’ll bite… What are your top 10 picks?

      It’s Smellamentary!

Looks like the crew delivered another solid episode with some very good character development. I’m happy that Willow and the gang are back together although it looks like she and Dawn are going to have some problems.

James Marsters continues to show how good an actor he is with Spike. Playing insanity is hard work but he’s doing an incredible job at it.

Anya looks to be coming to a head with who she is, can’t wait to see which side of the line she decides to stay on.

This weeks demon was pretty nasty. Being eaten alive is bad enough, being eaten alive by a creature that can talk to you and is trying to convince you of just how alone in the world you are while he does it is plain EVIL.

  2. Short Answer…Yes
I am definitely putting this episode in my top 10 list. Humour, in moderation. A pair of plots that were so perfectly in sync, yet completely seperate. Character development… and it kept me interested, too. OMWF…and last season’s final episode(both hours) are on my short list, and now, this one, too.

Oh, yeah… and the Demon.. I think he was quite possibly the best demon I’ve seen on the series.

Watching Willow Makes Me Think Dirty Thoughts. Watching A Demon Lap Blood Off her From That Possition Took My Dirty Thoughts Someplace Very Ickie.

I Also Noticed That The Crew On Buffy Has Been Writing Plot Ideas For The FanFic Writers. From Willow’s ‘Wow, That Was Sexy’, To Buffy And Willow On the Bed, To Spike And Xander’s Glance Last Week, It Looks Like Someone Was Seeding The Community.

Overall, This Season Has Been Great. It’s Got Everything That People Have Been Wanted From Last Season, Especially The Happy Moments.

I seriously doubt that. If anything, Joss seems to thrive on pissing the fanboys off. (The Asylum, Tara’s death, Jenny, etc, etc) Some good lines, and I think a whole ton of foreshadowing.

From Willow’s ‘Wow, That Was Sexy’

My thought on this was the “Buffy Year One” theme. Last week we had Spike burning whilst on a cross (Angel getting burned by Buffy’s necklace/cross in 1st season), this week another earlier moment revisited. Nicely done.

To Spike And Xander’s Glance Last Week

To be honest, this is either Joss doing redirection or going for the humor. Either one, but notice that Buffy & Xander could have looked at each other and didn’t.

Overall, a real good episode. Double kudos to the writers for the scene with Willow/Spike B&X/Spike… that was inspired. I loved that both conversations made sense on their own, and meant a whole lot more when you heard both sides. Good Episode.

  3. The deamon….
Overall, I really liked the episode, but I think that the deamon was
kinda cheap. It seemed like writers were sitting around
Writer one: “Hey the new Hannibal Lector movie is coming out that
week! Lets combine him with some kind of monster like…..Hey
what other movies are coming out this year?”
Writer two: “The new LOTR trailer just came out, and Gollum is
    kind of funny”
Writer one: “Yeh a skin eating Gollum! How cool is that!”

  4. Blue Demon?
Was it me or didn’t the demon nail the voice of The Yellow Submarine’s Chief Blue Meanie?
