Angel Discussion – “The House Always Wins”

I always go to Vegas when the woman I love becomes a higher being. Don’t you?

  1. Lois and Clark all over again
Is it me or has Angel seemed to have taken a downturn? Ever since they started developing relationships between the main characters, the whole thing’s been turning into a soap opera. Angel and Cordelia go to express their “true love” for one another, but Angel gets captured and Cordelia gets taken away before they get a chance. And now Cordelia’s back with…amnesia? It’s bad enough that Fred and Gunn are together. The thing I always liked about Buffy is that no one in the core group ever got together with anyone else…the way it works in real life. I’m seriously disappointed in the way this is going.

Yeah, I’m sure glad no one like Xander and Willow got together, or Xander and Cordelia, or Willow and Tara becoming an item and focus for the group for a while. Thank God Xander and Anya never had a relationiship that was the focus of the storyline. Whew, glad Buffy saved us from soap opera crap like that.

I think they said it best in Buffy a couple episodes back – “so who hasn’t been together?” (with Xander and Spike looking at each other)
