Anonymous Coward writes, I feel that it only appropriate to inform you of this link over at the BBC. Douglas Adam’s lost episode is going to finally be made and broadcast over the web. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/tv_and_radio/2477373.stm Two Anonymous Cowards submitted this, so I just decided to post the first submission.
Not so much a coward
as more of a “forgot to check that I was logged in” :)
Still neat none the less.
Not completely “lost”…
As noted variously by /. and friends of mine, this episode wasn’t so much lost as halted by industrial action and never completed. They nicked bits of it to portray Tom Baker in “The Five Doctors” (as Baker refused to have anything to do with the Who franchise at that stage), notably the punting scene.
Also note that it’s audio only, if you’ve been wishing (as I have) for Paul McGann to get another go at being the Doctor on the screen (big or small, I don’t care).
Oh well, I’ll still be tuning into BBCi come Autumn (being in the Southern Hemisphere and all…)
Re: Not completely “lost”…
Actually I bought the VHS tape issued a few years back that has Tom Baker filling in the bits that are missing.
