  1. DC also has a free promo comic out this week that advertises the new universe.

So, the present tense of the new universe is five years after the appearance of superheroes such as Batman and Superman and Wonder Woman. In the present, Batman/Bruce Wayne’s new Robin is his son, Damien. However, Dick Grayson, Jason “Why is he alive, again?” Todd and Tim Drake all have their identities as Nightwing, Red Hood, and Red Robin, and are all former Robins to Batman. The promo material expressly states these things.

Rebooted Batman went through sidekicks like popcorn, apparently.

Any other comments? Superman’s collar, anyone?

    • Interviews with Jim Lee and Dan DiDio indicate that Superman was the first to go public five years ago, but Batman and his group had been working in secret much longer than that.
