According to TV Shows on DVD, Futurama’s first season will be on DVD on March 25, 2003.

Futurama season 1 has been on region 4 DVD for a while now…
I wonder why it’s taken so long to get region 1 sorted out…

It’s very common to get DVDs in Region 1 later than in Regions 2 and 4, since Region 1 has a much larger and more profitable syndication market.

Nice theory … except that Fox didn’t care about Futurama even in its first run … on the East Coast, we haven’t seen one damn episode since football season started. And Fox hasn’t made move one towards syndicating it. I swear, it would warm my heart if someone with guts would start selling bootleg DVDs just so Fox doesn’t make a dime.
What it took that long!
Here in Region 2 (good old Scotland and Europe) not only do we have Series 1 but Series 2 also… unusal that one.
