Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 August 28

It is another light week, especially if you’re down a couple of televisions and are temporarily sharing a room with a child too use to watch the House of the Dragon receive some prophecies.  Stargirl starts season three with a murder and sketchy allies from last season.  She-Hulk and Star Talk: Lower Decks both forgo descriptions, but our future primitives of See sees our stars set off to reunite, and our Primal primitives give us the second half of The Colossaeus.  Mystery Science Theater 3000 watch a swinging sixties story of a woman trying to replace men in leadership roles.

[ETA:} The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 August 21

Only a handful of shows this week, She-Hulk and Primal return from last week, and Star Trek: Lower Decks and See bring back their third season each.  Unfortunately, the only thing close to a description for the episodes is Primal telling us the title, The Colossaeus.  (Yes, it was double checked; that was not a misspelling.)

[Edited to add:] Apparently I had my head in the sand, and House of the Dragon started this week, too.  Thanks for catching that!

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 August 14

We finish off a few shows this week, with Evil wrapping its season.  Westworld also end their world.  Better Call Saul ends its whole show, but I am told there’s a new follow up show called Breaking Bad that should be available shortly.  She-Hulk: Attorney at Law drops on Disney, which doesn’t give us a description, but it’s a safe bet that regulars on this site already know what to expect.  MST3k takes on the Batwoman, bot not a DC version, the woman in the bikini and Adam West era bat-mask.  Primal and Cuphead’s return round out the table for anyone looking for some animation.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 August 7

With the season finales last week, our lists seems like it’s in danger of running try, but fear not!  Comics and even some Star Trek are going to show up a bit later in August.  Now that we are done with the long range forecast, this week’s light table should allow enough time finish Sandman (in case you were sleeping on that.)  Evil takes on the stock market.  Westworld stops for a life changing drink,  Better Call Saul was showing as a finale episode, but other sources say we’ve got two episodes left.  Primal doesn’t offer us any details on its fifth episode.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 July 24

Summer marches on, and before the lawn is mowed, we have a fresh crop of vague (but present) episode descriptions.  Evil gets into cults.  Riverdale sees their final fight in the season finale.  Westworld’s target market had some criticisms for the show.  Better Call Saul gets new characters late in the season.  The Orville plays a simple game.  Primal visits a warrior village.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 July 17

The summer lump may not be a thing now that we are in the era of streaming, but apparently we are spending a week revisiting things the way they used to be.  Evil returns to its Evil ways with demons offering you fun suggestions.  Riverdale delves into Percival’s back story.  Westworld wants to let the old die.  Better Call Saul tries to close loose ends with the cartel.  The Orville doesn’t offer us a description, but seems to planning to redecorate.  Mystery Science Theater 3000 also revisits its roots by giving us some kaiju on kaiju fights.  If you want to go way, way back to the cavemen, Primal also returns.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 July 10

The summer break seems to have caught up to us, as we are down to only six shows, and Ms. Marvel is going to be ending this week.  Evil switches from demons to angels during a court battle.  Riverdale taps Sabrina Spellman again.  Westworld is going to dig their old haunts.  Better Call Saul shows Jimmy and Kim’s what they have done.  The Orville, much like the show itself, comes back from a grave.

Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2022 July 3

The Table is down to only six this week, and descriptions are down to two.  That is only if the short existential poetry of this week’s Westworld a description can be counted as a discription.  Before that Evil takes their show on the road.  Ms. Marvel gives us her fifth episode, and The Orville gives us “Twice in a lifetime” which one could guess is a title for a time-loop episode.  The Boys and Strange New Worlds both end their seasons this week, as well.
