The WB has recently
announced that an 8 minute preview of Batman
Begins will air during the 90 minute season
finale of Smallville on Wednesday, May 18.
That’s the night before Star Wars: Episode
III airs, which means those tickets are probably
on sale already.

Weekly Comics Discussion – Wednesday, April 20, 2005
Sorry it’s a day late. The list
of items that shipped this week includes such
notables as another printing of Green Lantern:
Rebirth #2 (a series I strongly recommend),
Essential Hulk Vol. 3, and Fantastic Four
#525, the first of two fill-in issues before J.
Michael Straczynski takes over later this year.
Movie Discussion – “The Amityville Horror”
I don’t know how the remake is. I don’t even know why
it wasn’t an October release.
Weekly DVD Picks – Tuesday, April 19, 2005

hits. Things are about to really start to pick up the
pace.

New Sci Fi Series Information
pdavis
writes, Sci fi has released their list of new
series. No original ideas here. Doesn’t one of their
commercials say that imagination is scifi.
The same goes with their movies as well. It looks
like we get another squid movie – hurray.
Sci fi is continuing their tradition of mediocrity.
Farscape being the only exception I can think of. I
like original programming, but unfortunately that is
not what sci fi is giving us.
Smallville Review – “Onyx”
Smallville is back, but the countess isn’t. Let the peasants rejoice!

Weekly Comics Discussion – Wednesday, April 13, 2005
This
week’s shipping list includes Ultimates 2
#5, the only title I plan to bring home this
week, as well as new Sin City material from
Dark Horse, a second printing of Countdown to
Infinite Crisis from DC, Art of Greg
Horn from Image, She-Hulk Vol. 2 TPB
from Marvel, and what may be the best collection of
the week, Supreme Power Vol. 1 hardcover,
which includes the first twelve issues of this
excellent series. If you’re 18 or older, pick it up
in some format.
New “Smallville” Tonight
Just a quick reminder that Smallville starts
airing new episodes tonight, and that we probably
won’t see any reruns until after the season finale.
Movie Review – “Disney’s Hercules”
Well, technically, it’s simply titled
Hercules, but I threw in the Disney part
since it’s not the only title by that name.
