hitting shelves this Tuesday.

TV Review – “Challenge of the Super Friends: The First Season”
Technically, there are spoilers ahead. Frankly, they
won’t make difference, given how non-sensical the
plots are anyway.

“Catwoman” Discussion
The DC Super Hero DVD sets contain coupons for cheap admission, but those are only valid in the USA, so I won’t be seeing this for a while. (It only got half a star in the local paper’s review, so it sounds like it’s bad enough to be very entertaining in unintended ways.) This will serve as a discussion forum until the hypothetical day one of us does a proper review.
Jerry Goldsmith dead
Obiwan provided this
link in the comments to a story, but I think a

First chance to see something from Serenity
TwistyHat writes, It’s almost a tradition. At Comiccon a few years back, Joss Whedon showed a stunned audience the first clip from “Serenity” – the pilot for his new show Firefly. This weekend he is back to show the first clip from “Serenity” – the motion picture based on the Firefly series. Also at Comic-Con will be the cast from the series/movie (all 9 actors) – editor Lisa Lassek, special effects guru Loni Peristere and producer Chris Buchanan.
It will take place on Sunday July 25th, 1-2pm, Room 20, afterwards there will be a signing session in room 28DE.
This was reported on what used to be the official Fox board, by the user “AffableChap” which has previously been confirmed to be Chris Buchanan.

well. The items I ordered last week are listed
below, for those who are interested in what’s coming
up.

“The 4400” Discussion
Oh, yeah, this show’s on every Sunday. I guess that means we should have something to discuss.
“Stargate: Atlantis” in Canada
Those of us in Canada don’t get the Sci-Fi channel.
(At least, not the same version the USA gets.)
Stargate: Atlantis premiers tonight on Movie
Central. (It’s at 7pm in the Mountain time zone, but
I think that’ll be the same in all of Movie Central’s
range.) If anyone else in Canada knows of another
channel running the show, speak up here.
This Week’s DVD Picks

limited resources.
