It’s a new week, and that means new shipments of the
contents of the lists on this
page. Later today, the full Diamond Order Form
should go online for April orders, which fits well
with the release of the DC
Solicitations text on Monday. (Marvel’s text
always comes out the Monday after the order form, and
not the Monday before.) Today I plan to take home
Megatokyo Vol. 2, Daredevil #56,
Exiles #41, and Fantastic Four
#509. (I’ve still got some trades on the back
list, too.)

Popular Science Scoring Categories
We don’t currently have a set of criteria to use when
grading Popular Science novels. However, one of our
recent requests is for one
such book, specifically Godël, Escher,
Bach. The categories we’re considering for
reviews right now are “originality,” “clarity,”
“structure,” “completeness,” “editing,”
“presentation” (ie. are there pretty pictures?), and
“overall.” Since it’ll likely take me some time to
get through this tome, we might as well give our
readers lots of time to be heard, and we’ll see if we
can reach some sort of consensus.
Charmed Discussion – “Prince Charmed”
I was going to use the WB site’s description to try
and come up with something witty, but I’m afraid of
spoiling things. That looks like a heck of a lot of
information! Either a lot happens this hour, or that
description covers every major event in the first
half of the episode.
Book Review – “The Courts of Chaos”
The first half of the Amber Chronicles have now been
reviewed. The rest will be reviewed eventually as
well. (General impressions of books 6-10: good, but
not as good as 1-5.)
Book Review – “The Hand Of Oberon”
The fourth chapter of the Amber Chronicles has now
been reviewed.

Jake 2.0 Cancelled
Anonymous Coward writes, According to this
article, linked from the Jake 2.0 TVTome
pages, Jake 2.0 has been cancelled, 3 of the 4
unaired episodes (of the 16 produced in a 22 episode
order) may be shown by UPN. In it’s place is
Yet Another Reality Show called “The Player” *yawn*.
It’s too bad. I thought Jake was beginning to hit its
stride, but it didn’t run fast enough from the TV
Monster, scoring the lowest ratings among TV dramas,
this season.
Whatever happened to Tru?
Daemonik
writes, I was looking in the archives an noticed
that there hasn’t been a discussion about Tru Calling
since mid-November.
Did everyone collectively walk away from the show or
has it just been under the radar? FOX seems to still
be airing new episodes, so is there any interest in
talking about it? I stopped posting discussion
forums because it’s a pain to figure out which
episode is up next from Fox’s site. If you’re still
willing to discuss it, we’re willing to host it.
Get Animated Star Trek on DVD
The details are at TV
Shows on DVD. If you want the animated Star Trek
series on DVD, follow the link. (I’d still like to
see The Soft Weapon.)
Angel Review – “Harm’s Way”
Angel is back. So is his secretary.

WB Back in Video Games
Babbster writes, This may seem to be a slightly odd topic for Bureau 42, but the news that Warner Brothers is starting its own video game division could be big in the science fiction and comic book world. After all, Warner controls a lot of properties, such as The Matrix, Terminator, Superman and Batman. Given the video game mistreatment of The Dark Knight and The Man of Steel in the past, could we finally get a great DC superhero video game?
