And for my fellow Trek starship gurus, your eyes aren’t fooling, that’s a dead ringer for the Akira class starship (first seen in ‘First Contact’).
You find some of the coolest stuff on Salon sometimes… for instance,
recent essay on the (lack of) gay characters in Star Trek canon. Is
this a big deal? Does anyone even care? As always, we want your feedback.
It’s all on SciFi Wire. At least now we have a year in which it all takes place (2151).
TrekToday, source of more rumors than a Fleetwood Mac convention,
has posted an alleged synopsis of the first few scenes of “Broken Bow,” the
pilot of “Star Trek: Enterprise.” You know what to do…
Well sort of. A group of fans, not satisfied with Voyager’s finale (who wasn’t?), have gotten together and have built a site with a planned 26 new episodes for Voyager and her crew.
The first story is due out June 20th. It’ll be interesting to read. Hopefully it’s better than most FanFic (gag, puke) out there.
…But how about Capt. Janeway. SciFi Wire has a brief bit. It appears that Jeri Ryan’s new job on Boston Public conflicts with the next Star Trek film’s shooting schedule.
I have to say, to heck with Voyager, bring on those DS9 characters!
