Granted, we’ve only seen the first of three episodes in the “Dune” miniseries. But so far, I’m impressed. Here’s an interview with the director to chew on, while we wait for part two tonight. And feel free to post your impressions and ruminations on the miniseries thus far.
I like “Futurama,” and last year’s ratings suggest that a few of you do as well. Good luck actually watching it, though; it’s that darned football season getting in the way. IGN reports on the anticipated future schedule (hint: still more repeats), why it’s all so messed-up, and how to fix it (hint: FIND A DECENT TIME SLOT).
Variety is reporting that The Frog Network has ordered nine more episodes of “Roswell,” bringing them up to 22 for the year.
The boys are at it again. They’re working on “Family First,” a sitcom (with real live actors, nonetheless!) which will star, well, we don’t know yet.
See, the stars will be actors portraying whoever wins that silly election tomorrow (and it’s still way too close to call). It’s set to debut at the end of February — since the South Park team is used to working like meth-addicted college students to rewrite whole shows at the last minute, the relatively short deadline (in sitcom terms) shouldn’t faze ’em at all. Obligatory “read more” article is over here.
There’s not much new in there, but this article has a nice overview of the history of “The Tick,” and snippets of interviews with the cast and producer of the upcoming Fox TV series. The only thing I can really say at this point is “Spoon!”
