    Lex’s Favourite Movie
I laughed so hard when I heard him say that the sword was from his favourite Kurosawa movie, Throne of Blood. Throne of Blood was Kurosawa’s take on Macbeth, set in 16 century Edo Japan – one must wonder if this is a bit of foreshadowing for the Lex-Lionel relationship…

Of course, in Macbeth wasn’t it was his best friend who ended up King in the end? (which ties in nicely with the Jor-El prophecy! Will this crazy intertextuality never end?)

Aside – for those of you in Southern Ontario – was this 10pm Wednesday showing a one-time thing by CityTV, or are they doing this all the time? I flipped on the tele to watch Angel and saw Lana pulling off her shirt (am I lucky, or what?) thus ending up watching Smallville on TV for the first time in weeks.

    High point
    “If you’er here…”
I know it’s been done, but I laughed my @$$ off. He wasn’t going to be hurt in any truck wreck.

By the way, how many trucks have the Kents had? They’ve totaled at least three, that I can think of right away! No wonder they have money troubles.

Agreement, here. Not much on TV actually makes me laugh out loud, but that was darn funny and I was rolling. :)

    R.E.M. (spoilerish)
Best use of REM music ever : )

By the 3rd song I asked myself why this was R.E.M. week, and then
realised it was a dream…ahhh, good times!

My cynicism just chalked it up to a promotional tie-in with the REM greatest hits album release…

I looked at my wife about 10 min into it and said ‘what do you want to
bet it’s the REM Greatest hits album they promote at the very end.
