Comments | Blaine: I’ve never seen this, but people keep telling me it’s highly underrated and well worth it.
DCU: Son of Batman (Two Disc Special Edition)

Comments | Blaine: This also just lost its release date on Amazon.com. I’m not sure why that’s becoming so common lately.

Flatliners | |||||||||
Amazon | |||||||||
The Grand Budapest Hotel
Amazon | |||||||||
Great Impersonators – 12 Movie Collection
Amazon | |||||||||
Comments | Blaine: 12 movies starring guys like Dragon Lee, Bruce Le, Bruce Li, and more. Alex: Well, it’s nice to find a collection of public domain (or near public domain) Lee-sploitation films that is honest with the fact that no, Bruce Lee isn’t in any of these films.
Hearts and Minds (Criterion Collection)
Amazon | |||||||||
House of Cards: Season 2
Amazon | |||||||||
Joe | |||||||||

The Lego Movie | |||||||||

Amazon | |||||||||
Masterpiece Mystery: The Escape Artist

Red Data Girl – The Complete Series
Amazon | |||||||||
Rightstuf | |||||||||
Comments | Alex: Anime series about a girl who is the destined vessel for an ancient goddess, and who has the ability to discern magical beings. The title is a reference to the Red Data List.

Shiki – The Complete Series (S.A.V.E. Edition)
Amazon | |||||||||
Rightstuf | |||||||||

Sybil Danning Double Feature (Cat in the Cage / French Pussycat)
Amazon | |||||||||
Teen Wolf: Season Three, Part Two
Amazon | |||||||||
Walk of Shame | |||||||||

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “go for The LEGO Movie whichever week it actually comes out.” Alex says, “it is my embarassment to say that I haven’t seen The Lego Movie yet. With the DVD release, I should be able to rectify that.”
The LEGO Movie wins, hands down.
Amazon and WB are in a power struggle which is why Amazon doesn’t have it listed as available. It does come out Tuesday, but they stopped taking preorders. I have preordered from Amazon months ago and so far the order still shows as though it’s going to ship as expected.

Also, Can’t Hardly Wait was underrated, as were most Harry Elfont/Deborah Kaplan movies (Josie and the Pussycats). Speaking of, hidden in the background of a scene in Josie is a crawler that actually says “Can’t Hardly Wait was Underrated” so perhaps the subliminal message did work.
I received my shipping notice, so apparently it was OK, they only shut down orders after the day they got into the fight with WB.

What.
Heck, that’s probably a whole anime genre.
