Comments Romantic comedy anime (as if you couldn’t tell from the title) about a high school boy who has been blighted by a horrible curse that, at random and incredibly humiliating moments, will require him to choose from one of a serious of silly, slapsticky things to do – and he’s unable to get any of his classmates to believe this curse is real.

  • Blu-Ray: US

Comments Alex: Anime romantic drama film, with a boy-meets-girl story, where the boy and girl live on different parts of a colony where, due to a horrific accident, the colonized world’s gravitational fields have been horrifically screwed up, and one half of the world’s population is attuned to one gravitational direction, and the other half of the population is attuned to the other direction. The story looks interesting, though I suspect thinking too hard about the physics of the whole thing would make you go crosseyed.

Comments The magical girl anime that was the gateway show to anime for a generation of fans, and which changed the magical girl genre as a whole for decades to come is back, with a new master and a new dub. The limited edition release comes with an artbook and it looks like it might have space for part 2.

One reply

  1. I’d love the Batman set, but it’s a bit outside my budget.

If you have not seen Phineas and Ferb Star Wars yet, it is an absolute must. The gang’s adventure helps explain a few interesting explanations for various happenings in Star Wars (like what happened to all the Baristas and other workers on the Death Star)
