Premise

Someone is killing those who do not respect the homeless, but that takes a back seat to Margaret Scully`s health issues.

High Point

“So who is speaking for them?”

Low Point

The most engaging story is structured as the B plot, making the episode feel a bit awkward.

The Review

This feels somewhat less original than the others thus far. I give it 3 out of 6.

The effects are well done in virtually every episode of this miniseries. I give it 5 out of 6.

The story held up, although it feels a little awkward as the “A” plot is much less emotionally connective than the “B” plot. I give it 5 out of 6.

The acting is great from the lead. This is a great opportunity to showcase Gillian Anderson. I give it 5 out of 6.

The production is solid. These guys haven’t forgotten how to put an episode together. I give it 5 out of 6.

The emotional response would have been better had the plot involving Scully’s mother been more tightly bound to the main plot. I give it 4 out of 6.

Overall, it’s a decent episode, but I think it needed one more pass of the script to restructure and bond the stories together. I give it 4 out of 6.

In total, Home Again receives 31 out of 42.

  1. I haven’t watched this one yet. The title had me wondering if we’d encounter the Peacock Family again, but this sounds like it might be interesting, too.
