Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I liked New Game for the same reasons that I liked Shirobako – an interesting story about how creative works are made – and I’m definitely going to be picking this show up.” Blaine says, “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation is my pick of those that I’ve already seen, but Red Dwarf XII is fairly high up the ‘must-see’ list.”
Valarian was very enjoyable.
I’m currently working my way through CSI with my 14 year old. He loves it. It’s aged pretty well, but there are a couple of technical “oh no way” moments (zooming in on a digital image does not work like that), but they steer clear of NCIS-level stupidity.
A lot of the inspiration for Mythbusters comes from CSI (Adam and Jamie even cameo on one episode).
Red Dwarf XII was good. If anything, I wish the seasons were a bit longer.
