Amazon
  • Digital: US
Comments Available on physical media September 4.

Finally, the picks of the week. Blaine says, “nothing that I’ve already seen jumps out at me, but Deadpool 2 and Won’t You Be My Neighbour? are both on my ‘must see’ list.” Alex says, “I enjoyed Deadpool 2, and I also really need to see Won’t You Be My Neighbor. However, as I’m waiting on a physical release on the latter film, and the former was fun, but didn’t feel like a must-buy in the same way for me, instead I’m going with Gamers! as my pick – it’s a romantic comedy of errors at a Shakespearian level, and I don’t use that lightly. It executes its premise extremely well.”

  1. Unlike the Disney Marvel movies, you could actually order Deadpool 2. So thanks for reminding me that will be getting here this week so I can plan next weekend accordingly.

I’ve been meaning to watch Ash vs Evil Dead. I’m no a big horror fan, but I was when I was a kid and I the Evil Dead movies are about the only ones I actually remember, mostly because they weren’t just stupid jump scares. Also, Bruce Campbell.

I think I’ve mentioned that the first DVD I bought was a limited collector’s edition of Army of Darkness. This was in 1999; I didn’t even have a DVD player yet. I actually have it autographed by Bruce Campbell.
