Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 6 October 2019

We are off to the races this week, with the return of Supergirl, Black Lightning, Riverdale, and the Flash.  In case you didn’t think that was enough Depicted Coverage, even after mixing in the Titans, Batwoman premiers!  We also have The Good Doctor goes fishing, American Horror Story continues its summer at camp, and we get the second half of The Blacklist’s anagram story.

[All synopses (and titles) from Trakt.tv below the cut, except when there really aren’t any.  (If a show’s synopsis is a spoiler to you, do not click More…)]

I think I’ll have to give Batwoman another episode or two to settle in before I come to any conclusion about it, though. The episode wasn’t terrible, but it was also clearly setting the stage. At least the one bit that that didn’t really make sense to me earlier on makes sense by the end of the episode. Of course, it was rather obvious if one bothered to think about it (which I didn’t).

Supergirl seems to be going for a major shakekup given the way it casually resolves a couple of the more tedious ongoing soap opera elements (for now). Though I see plot armour has levelled up some….

  2. Flash: Best use of a Queen song in Comic Book television so far.
