Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 8 December 2019

While over in the Arrowverse a Crisis hits this week, Marvel answers by bringing the Runaways back and dropping season three for us.  Meanwhile, in His Dark Materials, we get a better look at the Daemons, the Watchmen get some alcohol in Manhattan, Black Lightning, while not directly dealing with Crisis, worries about Jennifer, and Castle Rock and Blacklist end their seasons.  In Riverdale, Veronica fights with her her dad, and The Mandalorian takes on a crew.  If you are still looking upwards, Star Trek: Discovery offers us a Short Trip.

  1. Crisis is off to an “interesting” start. I definitely didn’t expect how the last few minutes went. On the other hand, I think I detected a possible Chekhov’s reset button somewhere along the way.

  2. Castle Rock’s ending was good. I thought they did interesting things to Anne’s character, and it was a great introduction to the Anne we saw back in the movie.

I want to see more of the mystery behind everything in Castle Rock and Pennywise’s character in this.
