Comments Blaine: I doubt this movie is worth watching, but it’s a fascinating product. The title is clearly a “Robocop” spoof, the tagline (“Your Future is Terminated”) is another obvious reference, and the cover art has elements of “The Matrix” in its style… This seems to have no identity of its own whatsoever. Checking the IMDB page, I see that the woman on the cover looks absolutely nothing like the actual star, who was 66 years old at the time of filming, but seems to have paid a plastic surgeon or two quite a bit of money to pretend she’s much younger.

Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit is probably one of my favorite anime series, and is definitely worth picking up.” Blaine says, “Star Trek: The Next Generation and Mission: Impossible are the best of the titles I’ve seen, and The Elephant Man has been on my ‘to watch’ list for a while.”

  1. Illumination Presents: 10 Movie Collection – Or “Here grandma, I am dropping my kids off with you for the weekend, keep them alive please.”

Robowoman doesn’t even rate a BluRay release, but does get a sequel?

Stargirl was good, if you like your comics (and thus, comic TV shows) in the Golden Age style.

  2. Elephant Man is a must-see, and the Milagro Beanfield War is pretty good.

Those Universal 10-movie collections would have to be mix-and-match before I’d buy in. (I misread the animated list as including a film called Curious George Jetson)
