Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2020 November 8

We get more shows returning, as Blacklist pits Red against Liz this season, and His Dark Materials shows Lyra and Will arriving in a new location.  The Good Doctor, after last week’s brutal look at Coronavirus from the view of the hospital workers, continues to pummel our feels with the second half of the episode.  Meanwhile out in space, Discovery heads for the Federation headquarters and The Mandalorian searches for the Mandalorian’s headquarters.

  1. The Blacklist feels kinda disjointed, like skipping courting to add kisses between characters that shouldn’t have developed feelings that way.

Discovery and Mandalorian are both excellent, and their quality each hits Feature Film level each week, despite being less than 45 minutes each.

Mandalorian gave us sudden Katee Sackhoff, and a friend who watched Star War’s animated show tells me she was the same character there so it wasn’t a surprise to him. I am just amazed that she somehow manages to walk down a hallway in plate mail armor and make it look much sexier than plate mail armor has ever looked to me in the past.
