    Even Variety Likes Kong
I’m the AC that posted this story; I’m psyched about this story of a lonely old ape that spends his final days watching sunsets while waiting for a beautiful babe to show up. Somehow, I can relate. Here’s the Variety advance screening review; even that usually-cynical Hollywood-paper-of-record thinks this Kong may be something special indeed. Here’s hoping. At least unlike Serenity, this time you KNOW going in that somebody you care about is going to get it in the end.

It Was Joss Whedon, We *Knew* Someone Wasn’t Going To Make It Out Alive, Just Not Who.
