Bureau’s Breakroom’s Television Table – Week beginning 2023 January 8

Another light week, as 2023 hasn’t put much on the schedule.  Call the Midwife skips us up to Mayday.  His Dark Materials visits the land of the dead.  The Bad Batch goes it alone, and My Hero Acadamia visits a different underworld.  Any new shows for 2023 that should be on the table that are being missed?

[All synopses (and titles) from Trakt.tv below the cut, except when there really aren’t any. (If a show’s synopsis is a spoiler to you, do not click Continue reading →)]

Call the Midwife – S12E02 – Episode 2 – Sister Julienne helps care for a first-time mother who is going through a challenging diagnosis. Lucille struggles with her own health, and Poplar celebrates the Whitsun Maypole.

His Dark Materials – S03E04 – Lyra and Her Death – As Lyra and Will head to the Land of the Dead, Mrs Coulter tries to thwart MacPhail. Mary is buoyed by the unexpected appearance of a very unusual creature.

The Bad Batch – S02E03 – The Solitary Clone – [No Description Given]

My Hero Academia – S06E15 – Tartarus – [No Description Given]

  1. I finally got around to watching His Dark Materials S03E01… I don’t think I am going to keep going on that show. It’s pretty, but I have enough demands on my time that I’d rather re-watch something else than watch this story play out.
