Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “On the anime, and general ‘If you’re a fan of animation you’ll like this’ front, I’m going with the Masaaki Yuasa collection – we don’t quite have all his big stuff out on physical media yet, as there is no physical release of Devilman Crybaby. However, this is a solid selection of some really, really good animated films that showcase Yuasa’s craft as a director. Otherwise, for general viewers I’m going with the Columbo collection.” Blaine says, “I’m recommending the Columbo set with no caveats.”

One reply

  1. Missing from the reviews of Bitch Slap is something that received a little more publicity at the time, and will be of note to fans of 90s fantasy TV: Lucy Lawless, Renée O’Connor, and Kevin Sorbo all have cameo supporting roles.

I was quite surprised to learn that Trolls Band Together is a kid’s movie, and not a documentary about horrible people online.
