It’s always great to be Canadian. In weeks like this,
it’s even better than usual.
First, the genre releases:
Who (2005) – Complete First Series: Just as US
Battlestar Galactica 2.0 months before
Canadian retailers will have access to the latest DVD
Doctor Who months before US retailers. Of course,
since Canada and
the US are in the same DVD region, it’s a question of
whether or not a
several month wait is worth the shipping costs.
Season Three, Collection Two (Starburst Edition):
waiting for Starburst box sets.
Volume 1: Collecting a few episodes of the
Masters of the Universe – Season One, Volume Two:
The rest of the
– Complete Third Season: The show ran for four
Volume 1: I don’t think I ever watched this
I’ve heard good things about this family film.
Now, the non-genre releases:
Griffith Show – Complete Fifth Season: The final
year for Barney
– Complete Series Four: More British Drama.
Charge – Complete First Season: I vaguely remember
this when it
was first on.
Paradise: Robin Williams directed by Harold Ramis?
I’ll give this
one a shot.
of Bel-Air – Complete Third Season: Now this is a
story all about
how his life got flipped, turned upside-down…
– Season One: I vaguely remember watching this
Complete Fourth Season: I remember this show all
– Complete First Season: I’ve heard great things
about this show,
but haven’t actually watched it.
Humaine: A Jean Renoir film in the Criterion
Fauntleroy: Another Criterion Collection
Criterion strikes again!
Change: A Bill Murray comedy I haven’t seen.
There are too many
didn’t take long to get this sequel out. That’s
rarely a good sign.
Mr. Lincoln: This Criterion release was directed
by John Ford.
Finally, the pick of the week. It has to be the new
Who. This is a great show, that actually got me
previous incarnations did nothing for me.
