Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “If you can afford it, get the CC40 collection. If you can’t, and can play 4K movies, go with North By Northwest. If you can’t play 4K movies, I’m actually going to pick Tomie.” Blaine says, “of those I’ve seen, it’s the CC40 or North by Northwest releases. Of those I know only by reputation, I would go with Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story.”

  1. The 4K version of Star Trek: TMP is gorgeous. Yes, the movie plods along, but the exterior shots of the Enterprise are worth the time.

    I have to agree with Matt Jeffries, the interior of the ship does look like a Hilton Hotel.

    • And those exterior shots are a significant portion of the film’s running time.

      (I actually rather like much of TMP)

      If you haven’t seen it, Godzilla Minus One is either the best since the original, or, possibly ever.

      It would be interesting to know what 4K adds to Blazing Saddles. The title shot, I suppose, would look great.
