Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “My 4K pick of this week is Amadeus, easily. Otherwise, on the anime front I’ll be picking up Nanoha StrikerS to round out my collection of the original 3 series.” Blaine says, “I’d go with the Sylvester McCoy Doctor Who collection, though it’s not a super passionate recommendation.”

  1. I’ve been meaning to rewatch Amadeus. And by “rewatch” I mean I watched it when it came out and I was like 10 years old.

I’m also curious about A Complete Unknown which got surprisingly good reviews, at least here in the birthplace of Bob Dylan.

    • A Complete Unknown is excellent; Chalamet disappears into the character. Several aspects of Dylan’s life during that period get excised due to time constraints, but it’s worth seeing.

Nickel Boys is apparently excellent, though difficult to watch in places.

    • I had the exact same thought about Amadeus (sounds like we’re nearly the same age). I vaguely remember it being kind of wild and weird.
