  1. Chungking Express, by all means, but two other, even rather bleaker cinematic masterpieces stand out. A Clockwork Orange, of course, and Full Metal Jacket. The latter features an incredible and disturbing supporting performance by Vincent D’Onofrio, more recently known as the Kingpin.

  2. Not to repeat the comment above verbatim, but Full Metal Jacket is a classic and A Clockwork Orange is one of my three Top 1 movies. Not that both haven’t had five billion releases already.

  3. I hate to admit it, but I have never seen A Clockwork Orange. I probably know most of the beats from references, but never sat down and watched it.

    Might be something to do while the US burns down around me.

    Or get the complete Lower Decks and lose myself in that.

    • First time I watched Clockwork Orange I was surprised that it was Malcolm McDowell. I’d start there, because after that you can cheer yourself up with Lower Decks.
