Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “I’m going with Thunderbolts* (
AKA New Avengers
) as my main pick of the week, though the Jet Li collection is a very close second. Chainsaw Man Season 1 is my anime pick.” Blaine says, “I haven’t seen Thunderbolts* yet, but based on the comments I’ve seen, that’s the only reason I’m not making it my pick. Instead, I’m going with To Catch a Thief, directed by Alfred Hitchcock.”

  1. The Golden Child is underrated (though probably needs a helping of “it was the ’80s”). Also stars a young Charles Dance, I believe.

  2. The Newsroom (the HBO version) is fantastic. Only three seasons (and I think it’s only 10 episodes per season). Not a big commitment, but an excellent run.

With news agencies folding to the current regime, this is definitely out of date. But it’s a hopeful look at what news organizations could be.
