Finally, the picks of the week. Alex says, “If the Ultraman Legacy Collection didn’t have the kinda tacky figure and was a little cheaper, I’d go with that. Otherwise, I’m going with the Non Non Biyori collection.” Blaine says, “of the titles I’ve seen I can easily recommend the Lord of the Rings collection. Of the rest, Project Hail Mary is pretty high on my `must see` list.”
The Transformers: The Movie was better than us kids deserved.
Project Hail Mary, the movie, got my kid into reading books because the books is better than the movie, both both are very good.
Definitely going to get Transformers. I have the VHS and it’s well-used.
PHM is one of the best sci-fi films ever and it’s not as good as the book. I did catch the deleted scenes on blu-ray. They’re fun, but merely extended scenes, not really anything new (the catheter bit is in there, BTW)
The first Practical Magic was a fun flick. The sequel just kind of came and went without much fuss. I’ll have to see if it’s any good.
