Galactica Webisodes Premiering Tomorrow

As first reported back in June, ten new “Webisodes” of Battlestar Galactica will premiere tomorrow on the Sci-Fi Channel Web site (and probably on your favorite P2P network by Wednesday and Friday). TV commercials say there will be new episodes each Tuesday and Thursday for the next five weeks, covering events between the season two finale and the third season premiere in October.

      I hate embedded video =(

      But I love hackers ;-)
The following day, our friendly neighbourhood anarchists will have uploaded the content in a less-stupid format. Just you wait.

Why wait? Use this and this and there you go.

  1. yay Cally
Cally’s there, and Cally’s still cute, that’s all I needed to see from this episode. :)

Ah, Cally, the poor man’s KayLee ;-)

Like, they didn’t bother changing the name of their cute spaceship mechanic girl. Tsk, tsk, tsk.

    • Re: Spoilers?

Anyone know just how many spoilers for S3 will be in this thing?

I stopped watching when they said, after the lil’s thing was over, "and now watch exclusive previews of s3".
So, you’re safe, they give a head’s up.

Even then, there is not much there (in the preview, that is).

  2. A new word for the dictionary?
"Battlestar Gasm": n., the emotion felt after watching a new episode / snippet of Battlestar Galactica.

Yes, that was cool. Short but sweet. It’ll be great seeing them on the Season 2.5 DVD.. (fingers crossed)

My understanding of everything is that they aren’t required to keep up with the show, but will fill in some gaps between the end of season 2 and the beginning of season 3. Can anyone confirm if these will ruin anything for me?

has this been confirmed, or are you just hoping?

For you? Hard to say, but I abhor spoilers, and did not feel this snippet to spoil anything.

It’s just a bit of the usual suspects living life under cylon rule, conspiring against them. It’s a nice lil’ something to watch before the real thing comes along in a month.

Since the DVDs come out in two weeks, but these Webisodes will be running for five, I’m guessing they’ll be on the Season 3 (or 3.0 or Mark III or whatever) DVDs actually.

Maybe they’ll even be bigger than a postage stamp.

  3. Webisode 1 is pretty good
It was nice to see the Chief, Callie and Tigh, but I have to say the acting of the other three was kind of hollow… maybe it will get better.

I do like the idea of seeing the resistance from the perspective of other characters in the fleet or on New Caprica, though. Just like ST:TNG, Lower Decks gave us a different perspective on the command crew of the Enterprise D, maybe we will learn more about the Galactica Universe…

Really? I thought of the cast of that webisode, Michael Hogan seemed like he was the most guilty of phoning in his performance…

      Peace,
